Meetup - Sept 2025

Our nineteenth community meetup concluded on a strong note this September, hosted in collaboration with Nexagate at their KL Eco City office. The evening brought together cybersecurity professionals and students for a thoughtful and engaging session on cyber threat intelligence and Capture The Flag (CTF) journeys.

Syed Muhammad Nuriddin from Nexagate opened the evening with his talk, “Blueprint for an Effective Cyber Threat Intel”, where he shared practical techniques and frameworks for building a solid foundation in threat intelligence. His session highlighted tools and methodologies that can help analysts gather, analyze, and act on threat data more effectively.

Following that, student speaker Ruhan Aidan Amaradasa delivered “Reincarnated Into a CTF Player”, a reflective and encouraging presentation on entering the world of CTFs. He spoke about overcoming the early learning curve, picking up niche skillsets, and building the right mindset for steady, long-term growth in cybersecurity.

The session also included time for networking and casual conversations, giving attendees the opportunity to connect with peers and industry professionals alike.
