Meetup - June 2026

Our twenty-third community meetup brought us back to UNITEN for the first time in nearly a year, where cybersecurity professionals, students, and enthusiasts gathered for an evening of learning, friendly competition, and community engagement.

The session featured Trailbl4z3r, Cyber Team Coach for WorldSkills Malaysia, who delivered his talk, “Dead or Alive: CTF – Is It Still Relevant?” Drawing from his extensive experience in competitive cybersecurity and the industry, he explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping the CTF landscape, discussing both the opportunities it presents and the challenges it introduces for aspiring cybersecurity practitioners.

The evening continued with an interactive Hacker Jeopardy session inspired by DEF CON, giving attendees the chance to put their cybersecurity knowledge to the test in a fun and engaging environment. With plenty of laughter, friendly competition, and even a memorable soya drinking challenge, the activity provided a unique way for participants to learn while connecting with fellow community members.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the team at CLICQ for supporting the event and helping us prepare the venue. Their assistance ensured the session ran smoothly and allowed us to welcome everyone without delay.
