Meetup - July 2025

Our eighteenth community meetup was held at UNITEN Putrajaya Campus and brought together cybersecurity professionals, students, and enthusiasts for a highly engaging evening focused on AI, workforce trends, and threat hunting.
Christopher Lim, Solutions Architect at Kaspersky, kicked things off with “Agentic Workflow Design Patterns for AI-Powered Cybersecurity Operation Model”, where he talked about the integration of agentic AI into modern security frameworks. He was followed by Evgeniya Russkikh, Head of Cybersecurity Education and Academic Affairs at Kaspersky, who shared a timely presentation on “The Cybersecurity Workforce Crisis”, looking into challenges and potential solutions to the ongoing talent gap in the industry. The session concluded with Muhammad Zaim from Bank Negara Malaysia, who delivered “Native Tools, Malicious Use: A Threat Hunter’s Guide to LOLBins”. His talk offered a practical look at how common system utilities can be exploited for malicious purposes, highlighting the importance of behavioral analysis in threat detection.
As always, the meetup included time for networking, open discussions, and refreshments, creating space for attendees to connect and exchange ideas. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this session another meaningful and memorable one. See you at the next meetup!
