Meetup - Aug 2026

Our August community session took a different direction from our usual meetup format, as we organized our first industrial visit to the BlackBerry Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCoE) in Cyberjaya.

During the visit, participants had the opportunity to explore the CCoE’s cybersecurity practice and training facilities firsthand. The experience included a look into a simulated Security Operations Center (SOC) environment, an interactive attack-and-defense card game based on red and blue team activities, and the air-gapped Black Box Escape Room, where participants were able to experience cybersecurity concepts through practical and interactive challenges.

The visit provided attendees with a different perspective on cybersecurity learning, moving beyond the usual talks and presentations into an environment designed around hands-on training and real-world security operations.

A special thank you to the team at BlackBerry CCoE for welcoming our community and giving participants the opportunity to explore their facilities. We hope everyone who joined us gained new insights, enjoyed the activities, and walked away with a broader view of the cybersecurity field.
